What is Robotium?
Robotium is the world's leading open source Android test automation framework. We first released Robotium in January 2010 and have been adding more features and improving it ever since. Robotium has full support for native and hybrid Android apps.
Why Robotium Recorder?
Robotium Recorder is the result of everything that we have learned from creating and continuously working with the Robotium framework for the last 4 years. Robotium Recorder creates Robotium test cases just like we would. We've worked hard to make sure it utilizes and takes full advantage of the Robotium framework. Professional test cases that usually take weeks to develop can now be recorded in minutes.
What do I need to start using Robotium Recorder?
Robotium Recorder is available as a plugin for Android Studio and Eclipse. The ADT Eclipse bundle can be downloaded from the Android developer website while Android Studio can be downloaded from here. The device used for recording test cases (either emulator or real device) needs to have external storage.
